Free agent forward Taurean Prince and the Lakers have agreed to a one-year, $4.5 million contract with the Lakers, agents Steven Heumann and Richie Beda told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Prince, 29, was just waived by the Timberwolves earlier in the week and cleared waivers today. He appeared in 54 games last season, averaging 9.1 points.
It’s considered a minor signing for the Lakers, who are adding some defense and toughness to the perimeter at a low cost.
Prince has also spent time with the Cavaliers, Nets and Hawks.
