Former Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts is a potential candidate for the Lakers’ coaching vacancy, according to Dan Woike and Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.
The Lakers are seeking a replacement for Frank Vogel, let go after the season.
As we relayed earlier, former Lakers coach and current Warriors assistant Mike Brown was also listed as a candidate.
Stotts, 64, parted ways with the Blazers at the end of the 2020-21 season. He began coaching the Blazers in 2012 and owns a 402-318 record in Portland.
Stotta has also served as head coach of the Bucks and Hawks, and carries a 517-486 record in 13 seasons overall. The Blazers made the playoffs eight straight years under Stotts.
Woike and Turner also listed former Thunder and Wizards coach Scott Brooks and Jazz assistant Alex Jensen as other potential candidates. Same goes for Raptors coach Nick Nurse, should he become available, as we wrote previously.
Along with all those names, ex-Warriors coach and current ESPN analyst Mark Jackson has been repeatedly linked to the job.
