The Thunder have signed point guard Vic Krejci to a multiyear contract, the team announced in a press release.
Krejci, 21, is 6-foot-8 and was originally selected by the Wizards in the second round (No. 37 overall) of the 2020 draft. He was then promptly traded to OKC.
He spent his first several professional seasons Spanish club Zaragoza, before signing ion with the G League’s Oklahoma City Blue. But he didn’t play, instead using the season to rehab an ACL injury.
Krejci is again expected to be a member of the Blue in 2021-22, per Joe Mussatto of the Oklahoman.
Exactly. The type of contract that Vit received gives OKC a chance to try a player with high upside, develop him, and if they need to roster spot and it isnt working out they can cut bait. Flexibility is key in the next several years https://t.co/6ejeaY1lJn

“Details of the 21-year-old’s new contract aren’t yet known, but the Thunder could have used a portion of their mid-level exception to offer a three- or four-year deal with a starting salary above the rookie minimum,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
