The Timberwolves are surveying the point guard market, and two familiar names have landed on their radar.

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, Minnesota has shown interest in Coby White of the Bulls and Collin Sexton of the Hornets as it looks to solidify the position.

Fischer reported that the Timberwolves have checked in on White, though his impending unrestricted free agency next summer complicates matters. White’s $12.9 million salary is manageable, but the lack of team control beyond this season tempers the appeal.

Minnesota has also done background work on Sexton, Fischer added, as part of a broader effort to map out its options.

The Timberwolves sit at 19-10 and fifth in the Western Conference, firmly in the playoff picture but still evaluating how best to support Anthony Edwards and the rest of the core.

White is averaging 21.2 points and 5.2 assists in the final year of his deal, while Sexton is posting 15.5 points per game after being acquired from Utah in the offseason. Sexton, like White, is also set to hit unrestricted free agency.
