The Timberwolves are signing center Greg Monroe for the remainder of the season, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Monroe, 31, is 6-foot-11 and has signed four 10-day contracts this season alone, starting with the Timberwolves back in December. He has also signed 10-day deals with the Wizards, Bucks and Jazz, and spent time in the G League with the Capital City Go Go.
His 10-day deal with the Jazz expired Wednesday. So far this season, he has appeared in 13 games and is averaging 5.2 points and 4.7 rebounds.
Most of his time this year came with Minnesota, where he played nearly 22 minutes a night and helped relieve starting center Karl-Anthony Towns.
The former No. 7 overall draft pick (2010), Monroe has also played for the Pistons, 76ers, Celtics and Suns, all while under standard contracts.
