The Timberwolves are signing shooting guard Rayjon Tucker to a 10-day contract via the hardship exemption, per Shams Charania and Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.
Tucker, 24, is 6-foot-3 and has been playing with the Wisconsin Herd of the G League, averaging 17.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He was signed and waived by the Bucks before the season.
He appeared in 14 games with the 76ers last season, and 20 with the Jazz the year before that. He was traded by the Jazz to the Cavaliers in November 2020, then waived a day later. He has also attended training camp with the Clippers.
Entering Tuesday’s road game vs. the Mavericks, the Timberwolves (15-15) have five players in the NBA’s health and safety protocol — Anthony Edwards, Patrick Beverley, Josh Okogie, Taurean Prince and Jarred Vanderbilt.
They also are reportedly signing power forward Chris Silva via the hardship exemption.
