The Grizzlies and 76ers agreed to a trade that sent No. 23 overall pick David Roddy of Colorado State and veteran guard Danny Green to Memphis for guard De’Anthony Melton, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Sixers had been shopping the No. 23 pick and Green for several weeks, as we relayed. They found a taker in the Grizzlies and received a quality guard in Melton in return.
Green, 34, is 6-foot-6 and averaged 5.9 points last season, shooting 38 percent on 3-pointers. He could offer some perimeter shooting and defense for a contender, as well as leadership for an up-and-coming Grizzlies team.
