Ishaan Bhattacharya of Fadeaway World proposed the following mock trade between the Warriors, Bulls and Hornets:

Charlotte Hornets Receive: Lonzo Ball, Gui Santos

Golden State Warriors Receive: Zach LaVine, 2028 First-Round Pick (CHI), 2029 Second-Round Pick (DEN)

Chicago Bulls Receive: Andrew Wiggins, Grant Williams, Gary Payton II, Vasilije Micic, Moses Moody, 2027 First-Round Pick (MIA), 2027 Second-Round Pick (CHA)

The Bulls are looking to trade LaVine and Ball, while the Warriors are shopping Wiggins.

LaVine will make $43 million next season, Ball will make $21.4 million and Wiggins will make $26.3 million.

The Bulls and LaVine have been trying to part ways for over a year, but Chicago hasn’t found a taker for the shooting guard due to his injury history and contract. LaVine played in only 25 games in 2023-24. He underwent season-ending right foot surgery in February.

A two-time All-Star, LaVine averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks in 2023-24 while shooting 45.2% from the field, 34.9% from beyond the arc and 85.4% from the free-throw line.

Ball hasn’t played in an NBA game since January 14, 2022. He averaged 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks for Chicago in 2021-22 in 35 games while shooting 42.3% from the field, 42.3% from beyond the arc and 75.0% from the free-throw line.

A UCLA product, Ball underwent a cartilage transplant in his left knee. The guard received a meniscus transplant from a donor. He could play in 2024-25.

Wiggins, who won the 2022 NBA championship, averaged 13.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 assists and 0.6 blocks in 2023-24 for the Warriors while shooting 45.3% from the field, 35.8% from beyond the arc and 75.1% from the free-throw line.

LaVine has career averages of 20.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bulls.

Ball has career averages of 11.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.6 blocks with the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans and Bulls.

Finally, Wiggins has career averages of 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks with the Timberwolves and Warriors.
