The Trail Blazers are signing forward/center Devontae Cacok to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
This news follows the announcement that the team had waived center Norvel Pelle, seemingly making room for another big man at camp.
Cacok, 25, is 6-foot-7 and appeared in 15 games with the Spurs last season. He spent the first two years of his career with the Lakers, playing 21 games in LA.
He was also signed and waived by the Nets in training camp last October and has spent time in the G League.
Portland now has 19 players on the offseason roster. The Cacok move also comes shortly after the news that the Blazers intend to sign former Thunder center Olivier Sarr, as we relayed here.
An Exhibit 10 contract counts toward the offseason roster of 20, but not toward the regular-season roster unless the player is signed to a standard deal.
