The Warriors are signing Brazilian guard/forward Gui Santos to a three-year contract, per Adrian Wojnarowski and Kenda Andrews of ESPN.
Santos, 21, is 6-foot-7 and was selected by the Warriors with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. He has been playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League since.
Last season with Santa Cruz, Santos appeared in 26 games, averaging 12.7 points and 6.0 rebounds, shooting 50 percent from the field.
Where he will fit on the Warriors or how many guarantees come with his deal remains to be determined.
“Golden State is signing Santos with the second-round pick exception,” wrote Bobby Marks of ESPN. “The Warriors only have the vet minimum but because Santos was drafted in the 2nd round, they are allowed to use the exception.”
