Free agent guard Avery Bradley has agreed to a contract with the Warriors, per Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
Bradley becomes the second revealed backcourt signing by Golden State in less than five hours, joining Langston Galloway, also reported by Charania and Slater.
Bradley, 30, is 6-foot-3 and appeared in 27 total games with the Rockets and Heat last season. He played for the Lakers in 2019-20 prior to opting out of the season ahead of the Orlando bubble (and LA’s title run).
During that season, Bradley averaged 8.6 points and 2.3 rebounds, and continued to offer strong perimeter defense while playing both guard positions.
The Warriors have brought in several veteran guards for tryouts recently, including Bradley, Isaiah Thomas and Darren Collison.
The Warriors’ roster stands at 19 entering training camp, which tips off next week. Thirteen of those deals are guaranteed, so there is room for more. It has not bee determined if Bradley’s contract is guaranteed, but he likely getting at least the veteran’s minimum.
“The Warriors already have some of their guard rotation sorted out, with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson (after he returns from an Achilles tear) starting and Jordan Poole as the likely first man off the bench,” wrote Michael Knowles of the Mercury News. “Andre Iguodala figures to get some minutes in a ball-handling role.”
