Warriors star Stephen Curry had an MRI on his right knee and the results have yet to be determined, coach Steve Kerr said, via Kendra Andrews of ESPN.
Curry missed his first game of the season on Tuesday vs. the Timberwolves. He seemed to suffer the injury in the home loss to Minnesota when he took a hard fall in the second half. He continued to play, however, scoring a game-high 38 points.
Per Andrews:
“Curry has been carrying a heavy load for the Warriors, averaging 30.7 points on 48.8% shooting from the floor, including 44.6% from 3. He has scored at least 30 points in six of Golden State’s 11 games thus far — scoring 40 or more in two.”
Tuesday’s In-Season Tournament rematch featured an early fight that led to the ejection of fellow Warriors stars Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, as well as Wolves forward Jaden McDaniels.
Suspensions and fines are likely to result.
