There’s a growing belief inside the Warriors that Jonathan Kuminga has played his final game in their uniform.

According to ClutchPoints reporter Brett Siegel, the expectation around the league is that Kuminga will be traded ahead of the February 5 deadline.

The 23-year-old hasn’t appeared in any of Golden State’s last nine games, including seven DNP-CDs, with part of the absence tied to his representatives preferring not to risk injury while trade talks unfold.

There’s a mutual understanding between the Warriors and Kuminga’s camp that a deal will be reached in the coming weeks. Kuminga becomes trade-eligible January 15 after signing a two-year, $46.8 million deal in October.

His cap hit is $22.5 million this season, with a $24.3 million team option for next year.

The Kings and Pelicans remain teams to watch, with the Mavericks, Bulls, and Trail Blazers also mentioned as potential suitors.

Golden State’s focus is clear. The Warriors are seeking a wing who can shoot threes and defend alongside Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, and are open to packaging Kuminga with Moses Moody or Buddy Hield to make that happen.
