The currently woeful Warriors are keeping their trade options open and the idea, it seems, is to try to find some size before the trade deadline.
Per Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, Golden State specifically is looking for a center who can put up some points.
“There has been some talk about maybe just go get a 7-footer who can score,” Kawakami said, via 95.7 The Game.
It’s hard to know who, precisely, the Warriors may be targeting or who may fit such a description. One starting-caliber center said to be available is the Hawks’ Clint Capela. But who know if he would help be a solution for Golden State or what Atlanta would want in exchange.
Bottom line: The Warriors need help. Yesterday. First-year GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. at least realizes this and is trying to explore ways to go get it.
The Warriors are in the market for an offensive minded 7 footer, per @timkawakami
