The Warriors got an early reminder of the Kristaps Porzingis experience on Sunday. Acquired at the deadline, Porzingis was a late scratch due to illness, as relayed by Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Coach Steve Kerr had hoped Porzingis could help counter Nuggets star Nikola Jokic, but instead was forced into another last-minute adjustment after Draymond Green was ruled out shortly before tip-off.

“Just got a text this morning that he was sick and at the hotel,” Kerr said. “He’s pretty sick.”

Moses Moody continues to capitalize on increased opportunity. Moody finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists against Denver and is averaging 13.1 points per game since the start of January, according to Joaquin Ruiz of NBC Sports Bay Area. Kerr has been effusive in his praise, citing Moody’s on-ball defense, shooting confidence, and consistency. “He’s been brilliant for six weeks,” Kerr said. “He’s maybe been our most consistent performer.”

Stephen Curry remains sidelined with what the team has labeled runner’s knee, an absence that’s been especially frustrating due to the lack of a firm return date. Ron Kroichick of The San Francisco Chronicle reports Curry will be reevaluated March 1, meaning at least another week out. “We all know the goal is to be healthy come play-in or playoff time,” Curry said. “We just want to get in a playoff series and have a chance.”
