Warriors star guard Stephen Curry may be able to return sometime during the team’s road trip next week, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Warriors (32-30) are in the midst of a five-game homestand but hit the road for three straight starting Sunday in Los Angeles, where they will face the Lakers in an ABC game. They then visit the Thunder on Tuesday, March 7, followed by a visit to the Grizzlies two nights later.
As Wojnarowski relayed, there’s optimism Curry could suit up during that stretch.
Curry, who turns 35 on March 14, has been sidelined with a left leg injury since the start of February. The Warriors lost four of their first six games without him, but have bounced back to win three straight since.
Curry has been as good as ever, with averages of 29.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 6.3 rebounds in 38 appearances, shooting a sizzling 43 percent on 3-pointers.
As it stands, the defending champions are fifth in the Western Conference (through Tuesday), but just 1.5 games up on the ninth-seeded Jazz.
