Warriors star Steph Curry is expected to be available for Game 4 of the Finals after injuring his foot in Wednesday’s 116-100 road loss to the Celtics, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Curry avoided major injury and didn’t need a follow-up MRI, Charania reported. He was expected to attend practice Thursday.
Curry suffered the injury while fighting for a loose ball with Celtics center Al Horford with about 4:00 to go in the game. Horford accidentally rolled onto Curry’s leg.
After the game, Curry said the injury, to his left foot, felt similar to a foot strain he suffered against the Celtics in March. That injury kept him on the sideline for 12 games. This one, apparently, won’t cause him to miss any action.
“Obviously, in some pain, but I’ll be alright,” Curry told reporters, via ESPN’s Kendra Andrews. “We’ll see how it responds. Not much other to say. I don’t feel like I’ll miss a game. Take advantage of these next 48 hours to get ready.”
The Celtics lead the series by a 2-1 count, with Game 4 scheduled for Friday in Boston.
