The reigning NBA champion Warriors open the preseason with a pair of games against the Wizards in Japan on Sept. 30. After meeting the Wizards a second time on Oct. 1, the Warriors return home to play each of their final three preseason games.
Their preseason slate also has them facing the Lakers on Oct. 9, the Trail Blazers on Oct. 11 and the Nuggets on Oct. 14. All three of those games are scheduled for San Francisco’s Chase Center.
It is not yet known when the actual NBA schedule will be released, though it’s not expected out anytime before the third week of August. As we relayed, the NBA appears to be waiting to see what becomes of Nets trade candidate (and former Warrior) Kevin Durant before finalizing the 2022-23 schedule.
In the meantime, it will be back to business as usual next month for Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and the rest of the champs. Notable newcomers, by the way, include Donte DiVincenzo and JaMychal Green.
Warriors’ preseason starts Sept 30 in Japan with two games vs Wizards. Followed by Lakers (Oct. 9, Chase Center), Blazers (Oct. 11, Chase Center) and Nuggets (Oct. 14, Chase Center).
