Warriors guard Ryan Rollins is undergoing surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot and will likely miss the remainder of the season, the team announced in a press release.
Rollins, 20, has appeared in 12 games a rookie, averaging 1.9 points in 5.2 minutes. He has played 19 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League, faring well by compiling averages of 19.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists.
The Warriors acquired Rollins in a draft-night trade with the Hawks over the summer, after the Hawks had made him the No. 44 overall pick. He played his college ball at Toledo.
Of course, the biggest injury news out of Golden State these days is related to star guard Steph Curry, who is expected to miss several weeks — including the All-Star Game. We have the full details here.
