The Warriors are signing veteran forward Rudy Gay to a one-year contract, agent Sam Permut told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
While details weren’t reported, Gay is likely on a non-guaranteed deal for the vet minimum salary, similar to Tristan Thompson‘s deal with the Cavaliers.
Gay, 37, is 6-foot-8 and entering his 18th season. His most recent came with the Jazz, as he averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 56 games in 2022-23. He has also spent time with the Raptors, Kings, Spurs and Grizzlies.
Gay marks yet another veteran addition for Golden State and first-year GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. The Warriors also traded for Chris Paul and added point guard Cory Joseph, as well as forward Dario Saric.
