The Warriors and Ty Jerome have been talking about a potential training camp contract once he clears waivers, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
Jerome was waived by the Rockets immediately following last week’s trade with the Thunder.
If Jerome doesn’t land with the Warriors, he is likely to end up on an NBA roster somewhere, several NBA sources told Hoops Wire.
Per Slater, Golden State is still deciding what to do with its 15th roster spot and two-way players.
Jerome, 25, is 6-foot-5 and appeared in 48 games last season, averaging 7.1 points and 2.3 assists, shooting 38 percent from the field. He averaged 10.7 points the year before that with Oklahoma City, after starting his NBA career with the Suns.
In that trade, the Rockets also received forwards Derrick Favors and Moe Harkless, point guard Theo Malden and a 2025 second round pick via the Hawks.
Meanwhile, the Thunder received guard/forward David Nwaba, forwards Sterling Brown and Marquese Chriss and point guard Trey Burke.
