The Warriors have waived veteran guard Javonte Green, the team announced in a press release.
This seemed to be the plan along, as Golden State signed Green earlier this week, likely to secure his rights for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League. If that is indeed where Green ends up, he will be eligible for a $75,000 bonus should he remain with Santa Cruz for 60 days.
Green, 30, is 6-foot-4 has spent each of the past two-and-half seasons with the Bulls. He averaged 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 32 games last season.
He has also played for the Celtics and internationally, including stops in Italy and Spain. Overall, Green has appeared in 186 NBA games since 2019.
The Warriors’ roster currently stands at 18 players with the start of the regular season just days away.
