The Warriors have waived two-way point guard Jeff Dowtin, the team announced in a press release.
Dowtin, 24, is 6-foot-3 and appeared in four games with Golden State, averaging 1.5 points and 1.8 rebounds. The Warriors signed him to a two-way deal back in October after he was waived by the Magic.
He spent most of his time with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League, where he averaged 17.7 points, 6.2 boards and 5.8 assists in 12 appearances.
After going undrafted out of Rhode Island, Dowtin attended training camp with the Magic in each of the past two seasons. He also played for the G League’s Lakeland Magic, Orlando’s affiliate.
The Warriors now have an available two-way slot and are expected to fill it soon, though there’s no word on who that player might be as of this writing.
