Warriors’ Chris Paul Available To Play Against Wizards After Missing 21 Games

NBA legend Chris Paul is available to play against the Washington Wizards tomorrow (2/27) after missing 21 games in a row for the Golden State Warriors

Chris Paul, Golden State Warriors, NBA

Paul underwent surgery on January 8. He suffered a second metacarpal fracture of his left hand on January 5 against the Detroit Pistons.

Paul is averaging 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.1 blocks this season while shooting 42.4% from the field, 36.1% from beyond the arc and 83.3% from the free-throw line.

A future Hall of Famer, Paul is making $30.8 million this season. His salary for next season is non-guaranteed. CP3 has a plus-minus of +85 this season.

The Warriors tried to trade Paul to the Toronto Raptors for Pascal Siakam at the NBA trade deadline, sources told Hoops Wire. However, a deal didn’t happen because Siakam wasn’t interested in re-signing with Golden State.

Siakam becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. He was traded by the Raptors to the Indiana Pacers.

The Warriors are only 29-27. They are in 10th place in the Western Conference standings. If the season ended today, the Dubs would be in the play-in tournament.

A 12-time All-Star, Paul has career averages of 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 9.4 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.2 blocks. He’s one of the best players in NBA history but still hasn’t won a ring.

The Warriors acquired Paul from the Wizards last offseason in the Jordan Poole deal. Golden State should easily defeat Washington tomorrow since the Wizards are one of the worst teams in the NBA. They are just 9-48.
