Warriors Signing Yuri Collins, Kevin Knox To 10-Day Deals

The Golden State Warriors are filling one of their open roster spots by signing guard Yuri Collins to a 10-day contract, per NBA insiders ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk and Shams Charania.Yuri Collins, Warriors, NBA

Collins, 23, has been a key figure for the Warriors’ G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, since going undrafted in 2023 out of Saint Louis.

The point guard has spent his first two professional seasons in the NBAGL, earning Exhibit 10 contracts with Golden State in both 2023 and 2024. In 33 games this season for Santa Cruz, Collins has posted averages of 14.2 points, 9.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 42.9% from the field, 27.1% from three, and 77.0% from the free-throw line.

Collins joins forward Kevin Knox, who was also signed to a 10-day deal, as the Warriors navigate their roster situation. With just 12 players on standard contracts, Golden State has until Thursday to reach the NBA’s roster minimum of 14 players.

The 10-day contracts for both Collins and Knox are valued at $66,503 each, but for cap purposes, the deals will count as veteran-minimum contracts worth $119,972. With these signings, the Warriors are only $1.13 million shy of their hard cap.

However, this flexibility could allow them to fill all three open roster spots and complete a full 15-man roster by mid-March if they choose.

Though he was waived by Golden State in October, Knox most recently played for the Detroit Pistons, appearing in 31 games last season and averaging 7.2 points, 18.1 minutes, and a shooting line of .462/.330/.909.
