The Atlanta Hawks are shopping Capela, the Bulls are shopping LaVine and the Kings are shopping Barnes and Huerter.

“Washington is still thought to be a potential landing spot for Capela, LaVine and the Kings’ Barnes-Huerter package,” Moore wrote.

The Wizards drafted Alex Sarr with the second overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. They traded Deni Avdija to the Portland Trail Blazers for Malcolm Brogdon.

Washington could trade Brogdon and Kyle Kuzma next.

Capela will make $22.3 million next season in the final year of his contract. He averaged 11.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.5 blocks in 2023-24 while shooting 57.1% from the field and 63.1% from the free-throw line. He had 38 double-doubles.

LaVine played in only 25 games in 2023-24. He underwent season-ending right foot surgery in February.

A two-time All-Star, LaVine averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks in 2023-24 while shooting 45.2% from the field, 34.9% from beyond the arc and 85.4% from the free-throw line.

LaVine signed a five-year, $215 million contract with the Bulls in July 2022. He’ll make $43 million next season and $45 million in 2025-26.

Barnes, who won the 2015 NBA title with the Golden State Warriors, averaged 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.1 blocks in 2023-24 while shooting 47.4% overall, 38.7% from 3 and 80.1% from the foul line. The veteran will make $18 million next season.

Huerter, who began his career with the Hawks, averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 blocks in 2023-24 while shooting 44.3% from the field, 36.1% from beyond the arc and 76.6% from the free-throw line. He’ll make $16.8 million in 2024-25.
