The Wizards have signed point guard Devon Dotson and waived guard Davion Mintz, per the RealGM transactions log.
While teams of Dotson’s contract aren’t known, it’s likely an Exhibit 10 deal, wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
Dotson, 23, is 6-foot-2 and went undrafted out of Kansas in 2020 and spent each of the past two seasons appearing in exactly 11 games with the Bulls on a two-way contract. The Bulls waived him in January.
With the Windy City Bulls of the G League last season, Dotson averaged 21.0 points, 6.9 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 25 games. He is likely headed back to the G League, only this time with the Capital City Go-Go.
Mintz, 23, is 6-3 and spent one season at Kentucky after three years at Creighton. He averaged 11.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 35 games in 2021-22.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a contract that counts toward the offseason roster limit of 20, but does not count toward the salary cap unless the player makes the team.
