The Wizards intend to sign Sydney Kings guard Dejan Vasilevic to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, per Olgun Uluc of ESPN.
Vasiljevic, 26, is 6-foot-3 and has been playing in Australia’s NBL since going undrafted out of Miami (Fla.) in 2020. In 36 games with Sydney last season, he averaged 13.4 points ad 4.3 rebounds — before opting out of his contract after the season.
He then joined the Wizards for the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, appearing in three games and averaging 7.3 points.
While it’s hard to envision Vasiljevic stealing a spot on the standard roster, who could become a candidate for a two-way deal via the G League’s Capital City Go-Go.
An Exhibit 10 contract counts toward the camp roster of 20, but not toward the standard roster unless the player is still on the team at the start of the regular season.
