The Wizards are signing small forward Eugene Omoruyi to a two-way contract, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.
Omoruyi, 26, is 6-foot-7 and finished last season with the Pistons, appearing in 17 games. Before that, he played in 23 games with the Thunder.
The Pistons waived him at the start of the month after he signed a pair of 10-day deals to end last season. He averaged 7.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in the 40 games combined between Detroit and OKC.
Along with that, Omoruyi appeared in four games with the Mavericks as a rookie in 2021-22.
NBA teams are permitted to have three two-way players this season, up from two in previous years. Point guard Quenton Jackson holds one of the Wizards’ other two-way spots.
The Wizards and Eugene Omoruyi have agreed on a two-way contract, a league source told @TheAthleticNBA. A gritty 6-foot-7 forward who plays with a high motor, Omoruyi has appeared in a total of 44 regular-season NBA games the last two years for Dallas, Oklahoma City and Detroit.
