The Philadelphia 76ers have officially signed Pete Nance to a two-way contract, as relayed by RealGM.
Nance, who was waived on January 7 after a brief stint with the team, first joined the Sixers on December 3.
He made a brief appearance during the team’s Dec. 30 game against Portland, recording three points (1-of-1 from beyond the arc) in just a few minutes of action.
The 6-foot-9 forward has been turning heads in the G League this season, averaging 16.7 points on 50.0% shooting, along with 6.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.6 blocks over 14 games split between the Cleveland Charge and the Delaware Blue Coats.
Nance’s versatility on both ends of the floor makes him an intriguing prospect as the Sixers continue to evaluate their roster depth and long-term potential. This signing adds another layer of flexibility to the 76ers’ plans moving forward.
Nance is the younger brother of Atlanta Hawks big man Larry Nance Jr. and an Akron native.
Both are the sons of Cavs legend Larry Nance. Larry Sr. played for the Cavs from 1987-94, with Larry Jr.’s run in Cleveland taking place from 2018-21.
