Bucks forward Khris Middleton could potentially return for the series vs. the Celtics, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said on SportsCenter.
Middleton was initially expected to miss the entire series with a sprained MCL, suffered on April 29 in the first round vs. the Bulls.
Wojnarowski said the Bucks will “know more midweek” when Middleton’s injury will be re-evaluated.
Middleton has a Grade 2 sprain, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Initially, the All-Star was expected to miss just a week or two. This marks the start of the second week in which Middleton will have missed.
Middleton averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 66 regular-season games, and has been the ideal complement to leading scorer Giannis Antetokounmpo.
