The Pistons are expected to buy out the contract of veteran point guard Kemba Walker following a trade with the Knicks, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Walker, 31, was actually part of a three-team deal that also involved the Hornets and No. 13 overall pick Jalen Duren, a center from Memphis.
Walker is likely to draw interest from multiple contenders, or perhaps even the Hornets, as a free agent.
He averaged 13.7 points in 37 games last season, though the Knicks shut him down at the end of the year.
