Amazon’s Prime Video continues to beef up its NBA coverage before its first season on the air, adding two well-known names to its lineup.

Chris Haynes is set to serve as an “insider” for the streamer, while Marcus Thompson will handle feature reporting.

Haynes brings plenty of TV and reporting experience, having previously worked at ESPN, Yahoo Sports, and Warner Bros. Discovery (TNT Sports/Bleacher Report).

Thompson, who will keep his role with The Athletic, spent years covering the Warriors for the San Jose Mercury News and has authored multiple books on Bay Area stars.

Meanwhile, NBC Sports — which returns as an NBA broadcast partner this season — also made a notable addition. Chris Mannix, longtime NBA writer and reporter, will join NBC as a digital insider.

He’ll create video content for NBCUniversal’s digital and social channels and make occasional appearances on NBC and Peacock studio coverage for breaking news.

Mannix has spent two decades covering the league and remains one of the more respected plugged-in voices nationally.

NBC’s senior NBA studio producer Adam Littlefield praised Mannix’s credibility, saying he’s someone “audiences can trust with the league’s biggest stories and developments.”
