Paul George is inching closer to game action. Head coach Nick Nurse told 76ers reporters Wednesday that George has advanced to full-court, live three-on-three work — the first time he’s participated in live drills since offseason knee surgery, per Derek Bodner of PHLY Sports.

George, 35, has been steadily ramping up activity throughout camp as the Sixers take a cautious approach. Nurse said the next step will be getting the nine-time All-Star into full team practices before determining when he might be ready for preseason or early regular-season minutes.

Celtics

The Celtics have signed forward Hason Ward to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac.

Ward went undrafted out of Iowa State in 2024 and spent last season with Boston’s G League affiliate in Maine, where he averaged 7.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks in 21.9 minutes while shooting 66 percent from the floor.

The move fills Boston’s 21st roster spot after the team waived two-way player RJ Luis. Ward is expected to be released before the regular season begins, setting him up to rejoin the Maine Celtics, where he’d earn up to $85,300 in Exhibit 10 bonus money if he stays at least 60 days.

Thunder

Oklahoma City made another minor shuffle, signing forward Cameron Brown and waiving guard Erik Reynolds to make room, the team announced.

Brown, a 6-foot-6 Saint Joseph’s product, averaged 7.4 points and 3.9 rebounds last season for the OKC Blue. He’s expected to return there once waived, with a potential Exhibit 10 bonus tied to his G League stay.

Reynolds, who was signed earlier this week, is also expected to land with the Blue — continuing OKC’s pattern of churning through camp signings to stock its G League roster before opening night.
