Free agent guard Lonnie Walker IV has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Lakers, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Walker is coming off a season in which he averaged a career-high 12.1 points with the Spurs. Earlier Thursday, San Antonio pulled a qualifying offer to Walker, all but guaranteeing he would not return.
The Lakers will be looking for Walker to help replace the loss of guard Malik Monk, who is headed to the Kings, as we relayed earlier.
