The NBA’s transaction wire cooled a bit after opening week, but one more burst is coming. Teams have until Friday, October 31, to exercise 2026-27 team options on rookie-scale deals.
Several calls are still pending, as written by HoopsRumors’ Luke Adams in a detailed breakdown.
Rookie-scale options for first-rounders must be picked up a year early. When San Antonio exercised Victor Wembanyama’s fourth-year option earlier this month, it locked in his 2026-27 number. His 2025-26 salary was guaranteed last October with the third-year pickup.
Thirty options are in the books, Adams noted. A few are automatic, like the 76ers with Jared McCain at $4,422,600 for 2026-27.
Others will make front offices do the math. The Knicks must decide on Pacome Dadiet at $2,983,680 while trying to stay mindful of the aprons and a roster loaded with win-now contracts.
Here are the 24 decisions that have not been finalized:
Atlanta Hawks
Zaccharie Risacher (third year, $13,826,040)
