The Timberwolves have waived Enrique Freeman, Antonio Reeves, KJ Martin, Norchad Omier and Drew Timme, the team announced.
Freeman’s release opens a two-way roster spot that Minnesota intends to leave available while evaluating players cut elsewhere, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic. The other four players were on Exhibit 10 contracts.
Freeman signed a two-way deal with the Timberwolves last summer, appeared in four NBA games and spent time with the Iowa Wolves. Minnesota brought him back on another two-way agreement in July.
Martin has the most NBA experience among the players released, with 309 career appearances for the Rockets, Clippers, Sixers and Jazz. He played in China last season before attempting to return to the NBA with Minnesota.
Reeves, a second-round pick in 2024, has played in 54 games for the Pelicans and Hornets over two seasons. Omier appeared in six games for the Clippers last season and also split time between the San Diego Clippers and Cleveland Charge in the G League.
Timme played in 27 games for the Lakers last season after making nine appearances for the Nets as a rookie.
All five could land with the Iowa Wolves if they clear waivers. Minnesota now has 14 players on standard contracts, including 13 with fully guaranteed salaries and Trey Lyles, whose deal is partially guaranteed until January 10.
