Pistons

The Pistons aren’t planning anything drastic, but they are doing homework. According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, Detroit has gauged the trade value of Jaden Ivey around the league.

Ivey, the former No. 5 overall pick, has been eased back into action following a significant leg injury and is averaging just 16.9 minutes per game. He’s eligible for restricted free agency at season’s end, adding a layer of intrigue.

At any rate, this appears to be more due diligence than a precursor to a move, but teams are clearly checking where things stand.

Pacers

The Pacers continue to hunt for long-term help in the middle, and one familiar name has come up — as Fischer reports Indiana has inquired about Hawks big man Onyeka Okongwu.

There’s no indication Atlanta engaged on Okongwu, who is enjoying a career year at 16.0 points and nearly 32 minutes per game.

Still, the interest does show Indiana’s ongoing desire to stabilize the center position beyond short-term fixes. One source told Hoops Wire that the Pacers have even considered asking about the Cavaliers’ Jarrett Allen.

Raptors

League rivals see the Raptors as one of the most aggressive teams on the in-season market. Fischer notes Toronto was the only club besides Washington to show real interest in Trae Young, and the Raptors have also been linked to Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis.

Don’t stop there. Fischer suggests Toronto is also a team to monitor in any Ja Morant discussions. In other words, if a star shakes loose, the Raptors are expected to be in the room.
