And then there were three — as in three brothers with the Bucks. Or at least with the organization.
That’s because the Wisconsin Herd of the G League has traded for forward Alex Antetokounmpo, the brother of Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo and forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo. The Herd are the Bucks’ G League affiliate.
To acquire Alex Antetokounmpo, the Herd sent the returning player rights of guard Jalen Lecque to Raptors 905. Wisconsin also received a second-round pick in the 2023 G League Draft as part of the deal.
Alex Antetokounmpo, 21, is 6-foot-8 and played high school ball in Milwaukee before spending one season playing professionally in Europe. He then went undrafted by the NBA and signed on with the G League.
Lecque, 22, is 6-4 and went undrafted in 2019. He has spent most of his time in the G League since then, but has also played a total of nine games with the Suns and Pacers.
