Raptors Sign Gabe Brown To Exhibit 10 Contract

The Raptors have signed rookie forward Gabe Brown to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet. The Raptors confirmed the signing in a release, though did not offer details on the deal.Gabe Brown

Brown, 22, is 6-foot-8 and went undrafted out of Michigan State after earning third-team All-Big Ten honors last season. He spent all four years with the Spartans.

He spent last month with the Thunder’s summer league team in Las Vegas, averaging 11.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in four games.

“Oddly, previous reports indicated that Brown had reached contract agreements first with Oklahoma City and then with Denver,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. Either one or both of those reports were erroneous, or Brown has had one or two changes of heart this offseason as he weighed where to begin his professional career.”

An Exhibit 10 contract counts toward the offseason roster of 20, though it does not count toward the regular roster unless the player is signed to a standard deal.

Per the Raptors’ press release:

“Brown shot .428 (143-334) from the field, including .382 (73-191) from three-point range, and scored in double figures 26 times with three 20-point outings. He scored a season-high 24 points (7-17 FG, 6-13 3PT, 4-4 FT) Dec. 29 vs. High Point.”
