The market is moving quickly around Lonzo Ball, and the interest is real.

Multiple teams have requested access to Ball’s medical records, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes, with any potential signing hinging on how those reviews come back.

Pending that process, the Warriors are viewed as a likely landing spot, though the Nuggets have also shown legitimate interest, per Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Golden State’s interest has been building. While the Warriors worked to convert Pat Spencer from a two-way deal, they also emerged as a suitor for Ball, who is expected to land somewhere in the Western Conference, according to The Stein Line’s Marc Stein.

Denver remains in the mix as well, and both teams currently have two open roster spots and will need to add bodies in the coming days.

Ball, the second overall pick in the 2017 draft, was waived by the Jazz after being moved there from the Cavaliers in a salary-clearing deal. Once he clears waivers, he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Health has always been the question. Ball missed two-and-a-half seasons after multiple left knee surgeries, and his lone year in Cleveland was uneven.

He averaged 4.6 points in 35 games and struggled badly from three-point range, though the volume skews those numbers.

Teams know the risk. They also know the upside. That is why the calls are coming in now.
