The Bucks are poised to get their franchise cornerstone back.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to play tonight against the Celtics after missing 15 games with a right calf strain. He has not suited up since January 23 and is officially listed as questionable.

Milwaukee went 8-7 during his absence and remains on the edge of the Eastern Conference play-in race, trailing seventh- and eighth-place Orlando and Miami by five games.

Antetokounmpo is averaging 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 30 appearances. Having already missed 29 games, he is ineligible for postseason awards.

The Bucks have maintained publicly that shutting him down was never under consideration.

How Milwaukee closes the season could shape its long-term direction around Antetokounmpo, who is signed through 2027-28 and holds a player option for the final year.
