There was a brief scare involving Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and his knee during Sunday’s win. But the injury report says something else.

Antetokounmpo appeared to tweak his knee after landing awkwardly on a dunk during the victory over the Pacers. Despite that moment, Milwaukee continues to list Antetokounmpo with a left ankle sprain rather than a knee injury, as relayed by The Athletic’s Eric Nehm.

Antetokounmpo is currently considered questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After the game, the two-time MVP downplayed concerns about the knee.

“I’m just going to go back home, sleep, see how I feel tomorrow,” Antetokounmpo said. “If I have a little discomfort, then we’ll go from there.”

Antetokounmpo briefly left Sunday’s game after the awkward landing and attempted to warm up on a stationary bike before ultimately remaining out for the rest of the night.

Coach Doc Rivers said afterward he believed the play may have involved a hyperextension, though he admitted he was speculating.

“My guess is he hyperextended his knee, but I’m guessing,” Rivers said.

Milwaukee will continue to monitor the situation as it prepares to host Cleveland.
