The Bulls may finally have room to maneuver. Real room.
As noted by ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Chicago could open up roughly $60 million in cap space this offseason, depending on how it handles its own free agents.
That’s significant. It puts the Bulls in position to do just about anything — chase a big name, absorb contracts in trades or reshape the roster around younger pieces.
The flexibility didn’t happen by accident. Chicago made a flurry of moves at the trade deadline, clearing money, adding assets and setting up this exact moment.
Now comes the decision. Do they spend? Do they stay patient? Or do they try to thread the needle again?
That last option is the one they’ve been stuck in.
And it’s the one they’ve said they want to avoid. This offseason gives them a chance to prove it.
