The Western Conference finals suddenly became about survival as much as basketball Wednesday night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs are both awaiting MRI results after Game 2 injuries to Jalen Williams and Dylan Harper.
Williams exited early with left hamstring tightness, the same hamstring that already cost him time earlier this postseason. The Thunder ruled him out during the second half, and ESPN reported he’ll undergo an MRI to determine the severity.

That’s obviously concerning for Oklahoma City, especially after Williams looked fully back in Game 1 with 26 points.
“He’s going to get checked out,” coach Mark Daigneault said afterward. “We’ll see where he’s at.”
If Williams misses time, the Thunder could lean more heavily on Cason Wallace and Ajay Mitchell. Mitchell also briefly left Game 2 after taking a hit to the leg, though he later said he should be fine.
The Spurs may have even bigger concerns.
Already without De’Aaron Fox because of a high ankle sprain, San Antonio watched Harper leave in the third quarter with what appeared to be a right hamstring injury. The rookie standout will also undergo an MRI.

Harper had been excellent filling in for Fox, including a huge Game 1 performance.
If Fox and Harper can’t go Friday, the Spurs may need bigger minutes from Stephon Castle and veteran Jordan McLaughlin moving forward.
