The Cavaliers have already been linked to LeBron James. They’ve been mentioned in Giannis Antetokounmpo rumors, too.
But what about both?
That was the topic discussed Thursday by Yahoo Sports NBA analyst Tom Haberstroh, who floated what he described as a best-case offseason scenario for Cleveland.

Speaking on a podcast appearance, Haberstroh suggested the Cavs could pursue Antetokounmpo in a trade centered around Evan Mobley and draft compensation, then attempt to bring James back to Cleveland as well.
The result, at least in theory, would be a starting lineup featuring James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, LeBron, Giannis and Jarrett Allen.
On paper, that’s about as star-studded as it gets.
Of course, there are several major hurdles.
For starters, there’s no indication the Bucks have any interest in moving Antetokounmpo. Even if they did, convincing Milwaukee that Mobley and a future first-round pick is enough would be another challenge entirely.
Then there is James, whose future with the Lakers remains one of the NBA’s biggest offseason storylines.
Still, this is the time of year for big ideas and hypothetical roster construction.
As Haberstroh sees it, if Cleveland is dreaming big this summer, it doesn’t get much bigger than pairing LeBron and Giannis in Wine and Gold.
