Longtime sports analyst Bill Simmons says he has something so many of us want: Clarity on where LeBron James plays next.
“The Cleveland thing is done,” Simmons declared on his podcast.
That was his way of saying James is returning to the Cavaliers for his next chapter. Granted, that’s something a lot of people already suspect. Simmons is saying to stop suspecting and start believing.

How does Simmons know this? Well, he didn’t really say.
Either way, this would be news to the Cavs and the multiple other teams that believe they’re in the running for LeBron. As far as anyone knows, no one has heard a word about where he’s going. Instead, everyone is in the dark.
Joe Vardon of The Athletic reported as much Thursday night, with multiple team executives indicating they’re wondering about James’ decision just as much as the rest of us.
“We really don’t know,” Vardon quoted one GM as saying. “We just know what we read.”
James has also been linked to the 76ers and Heat, as well as the Nuggets, Timberwolves and Warriors. Anthony Davis and the Wizards are suddenly popping up now, too.
But the vibes around the NBA say it’ll be Cleveland. Simmons says it’s already over. Eventually, we can assume, LeBron will let us all know if that’s true.
