Spurs

Dylan Harper isn’t worrying about individual accolades.

After helping the Spurs reach the NBA Finals as a rookie, the second-year guard said his only real focus is getting San Antonio back there.

“I feel like we all have that one team goal that we felt like we should have had last year,” Harper told DJ Siddiqi of RG.org. “That’s really the only thing that’s on everyone’s mind.”

Harper also said he has no issue coming off the bench again if that’s what coach Mitch Johnson decides.

“I’m in the NBA,” Harper said. “There’s only like 450 people in the NBA.”

Cavaliers

The Cavaliers don’t appear worried about Mario Hezonja‘s status.

Reports from Spain have suggested Real Madrid is concerned Hezonja could return to Europe if his NBA stint doesn’t last. But Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reported Cleveland has no plans to waive the veteran forward and expects him to be part of the regular rotation after signing him earlier this month.

Meanwhile, the Cavs continue monitoring the wing market.

Fedor reported Cleveland still has interest in DeMar DeRozan, Jonathan Kuminga and Peyton Watson, though none would be easy to acquire.

A sign-and-trade would likely be required for either Kuminga or Watson, and the Cavaliers remain reluctant to part with rotation players or significant draft assets to make either deal happen.

Wizards

Jamir Watkins‘ second NBA season is likely on hold.

The Wizards announced the second-year wing underwent successful surgery Thursday to repair a torn ACL suffered during Summer League.

Watkins emerged as a regular rotation player late last season after beginning the year on a two-way contract. Recovery from a torn ACL typically takes 10 to 12 months, putting much, if not all, of the 2026-27 season in jeopardy.
