Cavaliers guard Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell have been upgraded to questionable prior to Sunday’s road game vs. the Lakers, per the NBA official injury report.
Both players missed Friday’s win over the Pistons after being listed as out.
Mitchell suffered a sprained left ankle last week vs. the Celtics, while Garland suffered a knee injury. Neither injury was believed to be serious.
Garland, of course, is still recovering from a laceration to his left eye as well, having played just one-and-half of the Cavs’ first eight games. They are currently riding a seven-game winning streak heading into LA.
Following the game against LeBron James and the Lakers, the Cavs (7-1) visit the Clippers on Monday, Kings on Wednesday and defending champion Warriors on Friday.
Mitchell, 26, is averaging 31.1 points and 7.1 assists in his first season with the Cavs. Garland, 22, scored 29 points and dished out 12 assists in his first full game of the season.
