Pistons center Isaiah Stewart will miss 2-3 weeks with a sprained right big toe, the team announced in a press release.
Stewart, 21, is 6-foot-8 and suffered the injury in Monday’s loss to the Raptors. He exited in the second quarter and never returned.
After that, he had his foot examined by team doctors, revealing the extent of the injury. The Pistons (3-12) have lost four straight and are about to embark on a six-game West Coast trip that tips off Thursday against the Clippers.
Stewart is averaging career-highs of 12.0 points and 9.3 rebounds, while shooting 48 percent from the field, in 12 appearances this season.
